The Pizza Bike vs LEVEL 1

metal-rack

If you wonder why it takes that much time to make a bicycle that makes pizza possible and get it out in the wild for people to enjoy wood fired pizza, please read the following text:

“Hi I have a quick question about your training wheels . I would like to fit it on a bicycle with rear rack and would like to know the height of the U-Bend and the width at the top , so I can do some measurements and see if it’s going to fit. Please see attached picture of the rack, It has a very slim design and it looks to me that might fit quite well, but I want to double check before ordering.

“Dear Angel, hope all is well. We need to see if the axle can be attached to. Please take a photo of both sides of the bicycle at the axle level.
Thank you and
Best regards,

“Dear Angel, what is the metal piece on the left hand side? Also on the left hand side I do not see any excess axle? From this angle I do not think our product can be adapted.
Thank you and best regards,
Best regards,

“Hi
the metal piece is a hitch for a cargo trailer, which can be detached. It’s a standard axle If you give me the exact height and width at the top of the U-bend I will be able to see If I can fit it.
All the best
Angel”

“Dear Angel, hope all is well. After further review we do not feel our product will adapt to your bike, sorry!
Take care and
Best regards,

It will forever remain a mystery for me why LEVEL 1 doesn’t want to give me the measurements of their product. I really feel like I’m building the impossible and that’s a big and fun part of this project, but sometimes I just want people to measure and not to feel or think instead of me.
As you probably guess LEVEL 1 won’t change the fact that ‪#‎ThePizzaBike‬ will be coming at a sunny spot near you this Spring simply because when you ride a orange bike that makes pizza LEVEL 1 doesn’t really matter!

P.S. The only reason why I’m putting that on Facebook and the blog is because people keep asking me when, where, how and I would like to start tomorrow, but we live in the real world where being an “entrepreneur” sounds cool but it’s just not as easy as it might look like.”
